Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Principal multidisciplinary PDMS/E3D modeler and drafting expert. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is full-time office position for our Mining, Minerals & Metals Canadian offices, in Markham, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation, in E3D, of 3D and 2D multidisciplinary deliverables for execution projects and studies.
- Developing innovative ways of executing deliverables in E3D.
- Developing of standard drawings for supporting the designs in our projects.
- Training/supporting standard E3D modules cover foundational terminology, equipment modelling, piping, structural steel, electrical cable trays, HVAC, 2D drafting (Draft).
- Fully understanding project delivery standards and ensure the system is supporting it.
- Work collaboratively with Worley’s EDS (Engineering Design Systems) framework.
- Understanding of construction work packaging requirements and organizing construction documentation to support construction and commissioning.
- Maintaining the 3D model environment.
- Navigating 3D model reviews.
- Coordinating E3D work between various disciplines.
What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Needs to be fluent in Aveva PDMS/E3D.
- Experience in the mining and minerals environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- This position involves the design and drafting of 3D CAD based equipment and utilizing laser scans.
Other requirements:
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills; maintain good interaction between clients and team members.
- Able to work 40 hours per week, overtime as required up to 50 hours per week.
- Must demonstrate an excellent safety-oriented mindset.
- Must have a proven safety record.

Required:
For applicants based in the province of Ontario, the salary range is $134,735 to $175,000 CAD.
Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
