Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dock Stocker / Class 5 Driver to join our team. This role involves managing warehouse distribution, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will possess warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of equipment including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, and efficiency are paramount.
Duties
- Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts,dock stocker, a sit-down forklift, and a stand-up pallet jack/walkie
- Stock and organize inventory in the warehouse efficiently and accurately
- Operate order pickers to fulfill warehouse orders with precision
- Manage shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring proper documentation and handling of goods
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Assist with construction or warehouse setup projects as needed
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all operations
- Support warehouse management in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts, , order pickers, dock stocker, a sit-down forklift, and a stand-up pallet jack/walkie
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and order picking processes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
- Prior experience with load & unload operations is preferred
