Aegis Pharmacy specializes in treatment of all types of addiction. We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Pharmacist to serve as the Designated Manager in our new Pharmacy. This pivotal role involves overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive pharmacy knowledge, and experience in hospital or acute care settings. As the Designated Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and quality of our pharmacy services.
Duties
- Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to all legal and safety regulations
- Oversee medication dispensing processes and verify accuracy of prescriptions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy
- Supervise pharmacy staff, including training and performance evaluations
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
- Implement policies for medication safety, inventory control, and quality assurance
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and state/federal pharmacy laws
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support patient care initiatives
- Provide expert consultation on medication management for complex cases such as pediatrics or acute care patients
Skills
- Valid pharmacist license with current registration and licensing requirements met
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to coordinate with healthcare staff and manage pharmacy personnel
- Ability to interpret prescriptions accurately and provide clinical guidance on medication use
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to ensure compliance and safety standards are maintained
Start Date
- Training can start immediately at our Windsor Location
- Pharmacy will open between Dec 2026 - Feb 2027
Pay: $55.00-$63.00 per hour
