Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Class 3 or Class 1 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hauling and delivering sand, gravel and other aggregates. This role may require hauling asphalt to a paver during road construction season. You will safely operate heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining compliance with all safety and paperwork regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 3 manual 13 speed transmission vehicles
- Asphalt hauling and paving
- Deliver gravel, dirt, sand and other products
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate documentation and ticket books
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transportation
- Effective communication using two a way radio
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and foreman
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in driving heavy-duty vehicles preferred
- Experience hauling aggregates is an asset
- Experience loading and unloading tandem dump truck is an asset
- Willingness to work long hours with no guaranteed schedule
- May be required to pass a drug test
