Join a niche logistics company that’s been trusted since 1989 for vehicle delivery between Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland. Island Designated Drivers is growing—and we’re looking for a detail-driven, people-savvy dispatcher to help keep things running smoothly.
Who You Are:You’re a natural communicator with razor-sharp attention to detail. You think two steps ahead, stay composed under pressure, and love solving problems on the fly. You’re tech-savvy, customer-focused, and ready to grow with a company that values reliability and service above all.
Must-Haves:
- Management experience, natural leadership skills
- Exceptional communication skills (phone calls, text, and email)
- Organizational skills
- Tech comfort (email, SMS, scheduling tools, spreadsheets)
- Strong judgment under pressure and a proactive mindset
- Reliable internet and workspace for remote work
What You’ll Do:
- Handle inbound calls, texts, and emails with speed and professionalism
- Coordinate pick-up/delivery logistics with customers and our driver network
- Manage ferry bookings and resolve scheduling conflicts in real-time
- Track deliveries, maintain accurate records, and keep all parties informed
What We Offer:

Thurs & Fri: 9am–5:30pm (on-call 7am–7pm)
Sat: approx 4 hours (on-call 7am–7pm)
Sun: light on-call
