Novelia Psychotherapy and Counselling Services, located within Novelia Wellness in Barrie, is a growing private practice committed to providing compassionate, client-centered mental health care. Our multidisciplinary team supports individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, couples, and families.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Registered Psychotherapist (RP or RP Qualifying) registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Both Qualifying and fully Registered Psychotherapists are welcome to apply.
The successful candidate will provide therapeutic services to children, adolescents, families, and couples in a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents
- Facilitate couples and family therapy sessions
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with CRPO standards
- Collaborate with other clinicians within a multidisciplinary team
- Support clients experiencing a range of emotional, relational, and behavioural concerns
- Participate in case consultation and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Registration in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
- RP Qualifying or Registered Psychotherapist (RP)
- Must hold independent professional liability insurance.
- Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology, or related field
- Experience working with children, adolescents, families, and/or couples
- Strong understanding of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches
- Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting
Assets (Considered an Advantage)
- Experience in private practice or community mental health settings
- Training in child- and adolescent-focused modalities (e.g., play therapy, attachment-based approaches)
- Experience with couples therapy modalities (e.g., EFT, Gottman Method)
- Bilingualism
