Overview
B&L Metal has an opening in our Maintenance department for a Maintenance Technician/Millwright for our Night Shift. We are looking for someone that can maintain our equipment & preform preventative maintenance. Wages negotiable depending on experience.
Duties
-Required to work night shift
-Strong mechanical & technical aptitude
-Ability to operate various machining equipment e.g.: milling machines, lathe, drill
-Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools
-Ability to work as part of a team, with minimal supervision
-Able to prioritize tasks
-Assist in other areas where required
-Strong attention to detail & mechanically inclined- Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, and systems.
-Lubricate, clean, and adjust machinery and components to maintain optimal performance.
-Replace worn or damaged parts and components as needed.
-Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions,
-Execute necessary repairs, which may include welding, soldering, or carpentry work
-Work in a fast paced, high-volume environment
-Job requires manual dexterity with precision & co-ordination
-Ability to lift 30 lbs.
-Meet all safety requirements of the company.
-Basic tools required.
Qualifications
-Proficient in English with strong communication skills
-Solid mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance
-Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
-Familiarity with machining processes and equipment
-Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
-Welding and electrical experience preferred
-Customer service skills and leadership experience are a plus
