Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, preparing quality beverages, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently using cash or card transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, equipment, and seating space
- Handle food preparation tasks including assembling food items and maintaining food safety standards
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a positive experience
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food service and sanitation
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred
- Prior barista experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers confidently
