Overview
We are seeking a polished and attentive Fine Dining Server to join our upscale restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences through superior customer service, expert food and beverage knowledge, and a professional demeanor. This role involves providing personalized service in a sophisticated environment, ensuring each guest's dining experience exceeds expectations. Candidates should possess strong hospitality skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as TouchBistro, ensuring timely and correct delivery
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during service
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively during busy service periods to provide prompt and attentive guest service
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Provide guest services that promote a welcoming atmosphere, addressing any special requests or concerns
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Experience with POS systems such as TouchBistro
- Knowledge of the food industry, including menu items, wine pairings, and hospitality standards
- Ability to perform basic math for billing, tipping, and cash handling accurately
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue generation
- Kitchen experience (stemware polishing, basic dishwashing) knowledge is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
