Job Overview
We are seeking multiple skilled MIG Welders to join our client's manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong welding expertise, particularly in MIG welding, and possess a solid understanding of mechanical systems and blueprint reading. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including ductwork, structural steel, and custom fabrication in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Duties
- Perform MIG welding on various metal parts and assemblies according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Operate and set up welding equipment, ensuring proper calibration for each project
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble materials
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine specifications and procedures
- Rigging and positioning materials using cranes or forklifts for welding or assembly processes
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, measuring tapes, and basic math to ensure precision standards are met
- Assist with machining tasks as needed, including cutting, grinding, or finishing welds
- Follow safety protocols related to welding operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing or construction setting
- Overhead crane experience is a must
- Familiarity with rigging techniques, crane operation is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and machinery operation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills necessary for precise fabrication

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
