Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our rural dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with dental software. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on delivering high-quality dental services to patients of all ages. The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in maintaining oral health, educating patients, and supporting the overall operations of the dental office. Hours are flexible depending on your needs. No evenings or weekends required.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software (Maxident)
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the province of Manitoba
- Experience with Maxident or similar dental management software is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient comfort and education
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
