Rough Country Welding Ltd. is seeking experienced Journeyperson Field Machinists to support ongoing work across multiple oil sands operations.
This role involves performing on-site machining and repair work on heavy mining equipment, often in situations where adaptability and problem-solving are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine machining methods and repair procedures
- Set up and operate portable machining equipment, including:
- Line boring systems
- Flange facers and facing heads
- Magnetic base drills
- Mobile milling machines
- Operate equipment powered by electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Measure and verify dimensions of components where drawings may not be available
- Safely operate a service truck in accordance with site-specific and regulatory requirements
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper use of PPE at all times
Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
