We’re looking for a talented and experienced customer service/ poke maker to join our team at our Downtown location (190 Smitch St., Unit 1). Honu Poké is part of a growing restaurant group in Winnipeg built on operational excellence, consistent quality, and genuine hospitality. Our Downtown location serves fresh poké bowls and Mr. Kim's Korean Fried Chicken in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. We run structured, high-performing shifts where accountability, teamwork, and pride in your craft are the baseline — not the exception.

The Role:
As a Poké Maker and Guest Experience team member, you are the face of the operation. You'll work the line with speed and precision, deliver standout service, and help maintain the standards that keep guests coming back.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble fresh poke bowls with accuracy and consistency
- Assist with preparation and service for Mr. Kim's Fried Chicken
- Deliver friendly, professional guest service on every interaction
- Operate POS systems accurately and efficiently
- Uphold strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Monitor and restock product to maintain freshness throughout the shift
- Support teammates during peak periods to sustain smooth, high-quality service
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience (required)
- Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience (required)
- Comfortable working quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail — in food prep, presentation, and guest interaction
- Reliable, punctual, and consistently team-oriented
- Open to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement
- Clear communicator in English
REQUIREMENTS:
- Saturday availability is mandatory
- Available for day and/or evening shifts
- Legally authorized to work in Manitoba (work permit holders applying for PR are welcome)
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 40–50 lbs
- Reliable access to a cell phone for scheduling and communications
- Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation are strong assets
Pay and Benefits:
- $16.00–$18.00 per hour (based on experience and performance)
