Job Summary
Join our team to help produce the wood and laminate stock components used in our rifle accessories. Your daily duties will include cutting, machining, and assembling wood and laminate stock components using table saws, shapers, and CNC machines, along with sanding, routing, and general housekeeping. As you grow in the role, you'll take on more independent troubleshooting, quality checks, and process improvements. We are looking for a reliable person who can communicate effectively during shift handovers and grow into working independently with minimal supervision.

Key Accountabilities:
- Cut parts to size on the table saw
- Assist in machining parts on the shaper
- Load/unload unfinished wood and laminate stocks on Brother Speedio S1000/S700 CNC machines, ensuring correct jig/fixture setup for precision cuts
- Learn to select and apply appropriate tool bits for wood, laminate, and polymer machining
- Assemble wood boxes to a consistent, high-quality standard
- Sand components and finished assemblies to spec
- Rout edges for a clean, finished appearance
- Conduct in-process QA checks, identifying issues before they result in scrap
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the product's lifecycle
- Develop the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues, tooling problems, and process deviations independently
- Support ongoing process improvements, including our Python-based CAM setup automation (RhinoCAM)
- Perform basic daily and weekly machine maintenance
- Inspect finished parts for accurate dimensions, clean edges, and surface quality
- Develop knowledge of our current processes and procedures
- Learn how to use required gauges and measuring instruments accurately
- Run equipment at maximum capacity, managing processes and meeting production goals
- Comply with all Quality and Safety principles and procedures
- Housekeeping and cleanliness of work areas
- Must be willing to accept any necessary training to fulfill work duties
- Any other duties as directed by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Ability to read blueprint drawings and setup manuals (or willingness to learn)
- Some prior experience with CNC machines, table saws, shapers, or woodworking is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with RhinoCAM or similar CAM software would be nice to have
- Interest in learning tool bits and cutting parameters for wood, laminate, and polymer materials
- Forklift certification is a great asset
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Shift: 6:30am - 5:00pm | Monday - Thursday
Pay: $18.50-$23.00 per hour

- Chilliwack, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- CNC Machine Operating: 1 year (preferred)
