Portage Aircraft Specialties is the exclusive Canadian agricultural retail dealership for Air Tractor Inc. with Portage Aircraft Maintenance maintaining the Air Tractor Inventory and providing customer support to aerial applicators across Canada.
We are currently accepting applications for an Aircraft Parts Assistant to support daily aircraft stores operations and inventory management. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and maintains a strong attention to detail. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in daily operations of a fast-paced aircraft parts department
· Receive, inspect, log, and store aircraft parts and consumables
· Distribute parts, tooling, and supplies to maintenance engineers
· Monitor inventory levels, shelf life, and tooling calibration
· Anticipate future parts needs and assist with stock ordering
· Maintain accurate inventory and warranty records
· Assist with processing maintenance invoices through the aircraft inventory system
· Keep the work area organized, safe, and efficient
· Work collaboratively with maintenance, administrative staff, and management
Qualifications & Experience
· Prior experience is not required
· Interest in learning inventory control and parts management processes
· Experience with computerized inventory systems or ability to learn
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Excellent customer service and communication abilities
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends as required
