Position Summary
Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Industrial Engineering Coordinator will be required to optimize manufacturing processes in order to improve productivity, quality, safety and operating costs. The successful candidate will work closely with the production, quality, health and safety, supply chain and engineering teams to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement;
- Conduct time and motion studies and capacity analyses;
- Develop and maintain work standards;
- Help organize workstations and production flows;
- Coordinate continuous improvement projects according to Lean Manufacturing principles;
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Support initiatives to reduce costs and increase productivity;
- Take part in problem-solving activities and help implement corrective actions;
- Collaborate with supervisors and production teams on change management;
- Train and support staff when rolling out new working methods;
- Support projects involving the automation and digital transformation of operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field;
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec an asset;
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Experience in continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma;
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel, PowerPoint);
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Minitab, etc.);
- Excellent project management skills.

Bilingualism Required
The successful candidate must be bilingual. Excellent knowledge of French and English (written and spoken) is required for this role and its responsibilities, for the following reasons :
- The position requires interaction with English-speaking customers and suppliers in Canada and/or abroad
- The position requires regular interaction with Siemens colleagues outside of Quebec, across the country and abroad.
- The position requires the use of technology or software that is only available in English.
- The role involves liaising with foreign government and regulatory agencies based in the United States and Europe.
