Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Straight Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years work experience driving a heavy vehicle with a clean drivers record. They will be responsible for safely operating a straight truck to transport freight and goods to various destinations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and efficient delivery practices. Candidates with skills in forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Safely operate an Automatic DZ straight truck for local deliveries
- Load deliveries into the truck
- Unload deliveries using tailgate and electric pump as needed
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly before transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during operations
Qualifications
- Valid DZ driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields
- Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is preferred
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Excellent communication skills and reliability in adhering to schedules
- Physical ability to load, unload, and handle freight as required
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment or performing automotive repairs is advantageous
- Must be able to speak English, Punjabi and Hindi.
