Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, performing minor repairs, assisting with general maintenance tasks, and being available to assist in emergencies. Responsibilities:
Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of all areas, including but not limited to offices, restrooms, and common spaces.
Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
Handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing issues, painting, plastering and addressing basic electrical problems.
Be available to respond to emergencies and assist in urgent situations as needed.
Manage trash and recycling, including proper disposal and recycling practices.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and ensure their proper use and storage.
Assist with setting up and arranging furniture for events or meetings as needed.
Communicate promptly and effectively with management regarding any issues or maintenance needs that require attention.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in janitorial or related roles preferred minimum three (3) years required.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Basic knowledge of minor repair and maintenance work.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Good physical condition with the ability to lift and move heavy equipment or supplies.
Familiarity with the safe use of cleaning materials and equipment.
Willingness to be available for emergencies and urgent situations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
