Summary
We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Chartwell Retirement Residences. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of seniors by providing high-quality nursing care in a supportive environment. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
- Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Support residents with dementia or hospice care needs with empathy and respect.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and medical records.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in Canada.
- Experience in patient care within assisted living or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of hospice and dementia care principles.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating empathy and compassion.
