Nutrition Wellness Facilitator
Position Details Location: Bancroft, ON (travel between sites required)
Position: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: 35 hours/week
Wage: $23.71/hour (paid bi-weekly)
Benefits: Eligible after 1 month
Reports To: Licensing & Staffing Child Care Coordinator
Position Summary
This role combines nutrition planning and daily kitchen support to ensure high-quality, safe, and nutritious meals across NHCS programs.
- Lead menu planning aligned with Canada’s Food Guide, CCEYA, and Public Health Ensure all menus consider allergies, sensitivities, and cultural needs
- Provide daily hands-on cooking during peak periods
- Oversee purchasing, inventory, and food budgets
- Support and guide Nutrition Providers
- Lead gardening initiatives and food education within programs
Qualifications
- Background in Nutrition, Food Services, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience in menu planning and food preparation
- Knowledge of food safety and healthy eating
- Interest in gardening and food education
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License
