Superior Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead field operations at remote mine site locations. This is a hands-on leadership role for a seasoned construction professional who thrives in a fly-in/fly-out environment and is ready to take ownership of site performance, safety, and crew management.
Position Overview
Reporting to senior management, the Construction Supervisor will oversee day-to-day construction activities on remote mining projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to Superior Construction's quality standards. The successful candidate will manage crews, coordinate subcontractors, and serve as the primary point of contact on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at remote mine site locations
- Manage field crews, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure productivity and quality
- Enforce site safety protocols and ensure full compliance with Ministry of Labour and mine site regulations
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress; report status to senior management
- Coordinate material, equipment, and manpower logistics for remote site operations
- Conduct site inspections and maintain accurate daily documentation and reporting
- Liaise with mine site clients and other stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships
- Identify and resolve on-site issues, delays, and safety concerns proactively
Qualifications
- 10+ years of construction supervisory experience, mining or heavy industrial sector preferred
- Proven ability to manage crews and subcontractors on remote or camp-based job sites
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Willingness and ability to work remote rotational schedules
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid, Working at Heights) considered an asset
Schedule & Location
- Remote mine site locations
- Rotational schedule: 4 on / 3 off or 10 on / 4 off
- Camp accommodations and travel arranged for scheduled rotations
