We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping experience
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
- Manage cashiering responsibilities including ringing up sales, processing payments, and giving accurate change
- Provide product demonstrations and explain features to customers interested in technology or other merchandise
- Upsell products and suggest complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked appropriately
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist in maintaining store cleanliness and organization throughout the shift
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Proficiency with POS systems and familiarity with retail sales technology tools
- Ability to perform product demos confidently, especially for technical or electronic merchandise
- Bilingual abilities (English plus other languages) are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs
- Customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Sales skills including upselling techniques to maximize store revenue
- Knowledge of merchandising standards and retail best practices
