Matrix HR is recruiting on behalf of a leading Energy Services client for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join their Talent Acquisition team in Calgary, Alberta.

The successful candidate will support full-cycle recruitment activities across various business groups, helping attract and assess top talent while contributing to a strong and inclusive workforce.
The Recruitment Consultant will act as a trusted recruitment partner to hiring leaders, HR business partners, and internal stakeholders. This role will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing recruitment processes, identifying qualified candidates, and providing consultative guidance throughout the hiring lifecycle.
Partner with business leaders, hiring managers, and HR teams to understand workforce needs and deliver effective recruitment strategies.
Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans using social media, online platforms, referrals, networking, market research, and talent mapping.
Build and maintain strong pipelines of qualified candidates through proactive sourcing and relationship management.
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate assessment, offer support, and onboarding coordination.
Conduct candidate interviews and provide hiring teams with qualified candidate recommendations.
Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by maintaining consistent communication and providing guidance throughout the recruitment process.
Build trusted relationships with internal clients by understanding business needs and delivering high-quality recruitment solutions.
Analyze recruitment metrics, candidate pipelines, and market trends to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Recommend improvements to recruitment processes, tools, and practices to increase efficiency and enhance stakeholder experience.
Collaborate with HR partners and cross-functional teams to support organizational hiring goals.
Promote inclusive recruitment practices and support diversity-focused talent acquisition initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.
Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, sourcing techniques, and talent acquisition best practices.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and internal stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience conducting behavioral interviews and candidate assessments.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment technology, and candidate databases.
Ability to analyze recruitment data and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels of an organization.
Knowledge of employer branding and recruitment marketing strategies is considered an asset.
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
Contract Duration: Targeting approx start date of August 11, 2026 – February 12, 2027
Work Arrangement: Onsite/Hybrid requirements as determined by the client
