About Nooners
For 40 years, Nooners has been a London favourite for fast, fresh, homemade-style lunches. We are a busy, cafeteria-style, counter-service restaurant where customers order directly, watch their meals being prepared, and take their meals to their table.
We’re known for speed, consistency, friendliness, and quality — the four pillars of the Nooners experience.
Position Overview – Lunch Line Specialist
This role centers around a one-to-one service flow:
Customer orders → you prepare → you pass it down the line → repeat.
You’ll work with sandwiches, salads, hot meals, soups, and daily specials in a steady, high-flow lunch environment. Strong organization, clear communication, and excellent time-management are essential to keep the line moving smoothly.
If you enjoy staying busy, working with people, and contributing to a tight, efficient team, this role is a great fit.

- Works well independently AND within a small team
- Takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and cleanliness

⭐ This role is not suitable for:
Because this is a busy, cafeteria-style lunch environment with steady, continuous customer flow, this position requires strong communication, awareness, pace, and the ability to stay organized under pressure. For that reason, this role is not a good fit for applicants who:
- Have only worked in very slow-paced cafés, delis, or low-volume counter service
- Come from button-based, automated, or pre-built food environments with minimal real preparation
- Struggle with clear verbal communication in a customer-facing setting
- Have difficulty learning quickly or adapting during active service
- Prefer to focus on one task at a time instead of managing flow and staying aware of the line
- Become overwhelmed during steady or fast lunch rushes
- Need constant direction, reminders, or step-by-step supervision to stay on pace
- Have trouble managing time, speed, and multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Lack the situational awareness required to maintain flow, restock proactively, and keep the line moving
This role requires someone who consistently brings strong communication skills, solid time-management, good judgment, reliable pace, and the ability to stay organized, aware, and confident throughout an active lunch period.
