Job Posting: Vehicle Sales Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Vehicle Sales Accountant to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing vehicle sales transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with dealership policies and accounting standards. This role works closely with the sales, finance, and management teams to support the efficient operation of the dealership.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and post all new and used vehicle sales transactions.
- Reconcile vehicle sales schedules and inventory accounts.
- Maintain deal files and verify all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Reconcile floor plan accounts, and related balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Work with sales and finance departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate deal posting.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulations.
- Support audits and provide documentation as requested.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; dealership accounting experience is an asset.
- Experience with dealership management systems (such as PBS, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $48,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
