Boutique Books & Co. is a growing bookkeeping firm based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We are looking for a motivated student, intern, or entry-level candidate who wants hands-on experience in bookkeeping, business administration, and financial organization.
This is a great opportunity for someone currently studying or recently graduated from Accounting, Business Administration, Administrative Professional, Finance, or a related program.
The position can be remote, on-site, or hybrid depending on the candidate’s experience, availability, and training needs.
Responsibilities
Assist with organizing client financial documents
Categorize bank and credit card transactions
Support bank and credit card reconciliations
Help maintain organized digital client files
Prepare spreadsheets and basic financial reports
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tracking
Communicate professionally with team members
Support general administrative and bookkeeping tasks
Follow company procedures and maintain client confidentiality
Qualifications
Currently studying or recently graduated in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Administrative Professional, or a related field
Interest in bookkeeping, accounting, and small business support
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, email, and online tools
Organized, reliable, and willing to learn
Professional communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
Experience with bookkeeping software is an asset, but not required
