Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Automotive Sales Consultant to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will excel in outside sales, possess strong negotiation skills, and have experience in high-end and B2B sales. This role involves engaging with customers to understand their needs, presenting vehicle options, and guiding them through the sales process. Multilingual abilities, especially bilingual proficiency in Spanish, are highly valued to serve our diverse clientele. The Automotive Sales Consultant will play a key role in building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, supporting marketing initiatives, and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and dealership growth.
Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective customers through outside sales efforts and community outreach
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to recommend suitable vehicle options
- Negotiate deals effectively to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage and develop a strong sales pipeline, including follow-ups and lead nurturing
- Support marketing campaigns by promoting dealership promotions and special offers
- Upsell additional products such as warranties, service packages, and accessories to enhance customer value
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-up actions
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist in B2B sales efforts to establish partnerships with local businesses and organizations
- Collaborate with the sales management team to meet or exceed monthly sales targets
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new vehicle features
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail automotive sales or dealership environments is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and build rapport with diverse clients
- Multilingual abilities, especially bilingual proficiency in Spanish, are highly desirable
- Demonstrated success in outside sales and managing a sales pipeline
- Knowledge of high-end vehicles and B2B sales strategies is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple leads and follow-ups efficiently
- Customer service-oriented mindset with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
- Strong marketing understanding to support promotional activities
- Basic math skills for calculating deals, payments, and financing options
