Education: Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering and Project Management and/or Civil Technologist in Civil Engineering and Project Management
Job Summary: Oversee all aspects of assigned underground waterworks projects from commencement to completion. Interacts with project owners and consultants promptly, providing solution orientated responses to achieve exceptional results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Complete underground waterworks projects by planning, organizing, and controlling
· Completing quality inspections while working alongside superintendents to supervise foremen, sub-contractors and staff
· Accomplish desired construction project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestones; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders
· Report on project updates, conditions, etc, in relation to original project goals. Keep ongoing outline of plans to achieve production targets. Daily progress reporting, weekly schedule updates, monthly production reviews to avoid scope creep
· To manage on-site issues around leadership, safety, efficiencies, and production; relaying important information to Human Resources, Logistics’, Safety, Quality Control, and Construction Managers
· Close out contracts, complete all deficiencies, extra work, claims, issues, payment, etc.
· Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes
· Research, review and address any owner, landlord, municipal/provincial/federal requirements or procedures to avoid project delays, ensure safety, and/or ensure client satisfaction

Knowledge:
· Customer and Personnel Service – Knowledge of principles and process for providing customer and personal services (including assessing owner/consultant needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating owner/consultant satisfaction)
· Underground Waterworks Construction – Knowledge of best methods of construction to maximize efficiency and economies of scale with an understanding of regional standards and specifications
· English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
· Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, statistics, and their application
Technological Skills:
· Email Software – Microsoft Outlook
