Big Time Decent Productions is looking for a creative, organized, and social-media-savvy Social Media Coordinator to join our digital team.
This is an early-career opportunity for someone who already has some hands-on experience in social media, digital content, YouTube, production, or entertainment, and is ready to grow into a larger role.
The ideal candidate is passionate about YouTube, social media, film and television production, creator content, and digital storytelling. This role will support multiple creator-driven channels in the automotive and entertainment space.
Responsibilities
- Work with the content producer to execute the creative and brand vision across multiple channels
- Package and post YouTube long-form videos, including thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, and metadata
- Support short-form content strategy, including selecting clips, cutting shorts, scheduling posts, and tracking performance
- Coordinate with editors, producers, and production team members
- Organize deliverables, content calendars, posting schedules, and channel assets
- Help create performance reports and discuss channel progress with the content producer
- Support audience engagement and ongoing channel growth
- Assist with website updates, merch management, and other digital tasks as needed
- Stay up to date with social media trends, platform changes, and content opportunities
Ideal Candidate
- 1–3 years of experience in social media, digital content, production coordination, content creation, or a related field
- Strong understanding of YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and short-form video platforms
- Good sense of storytelling, hooks, pacing, thumbnails, titles, and audience retention
- Strong written and spoken English
- Organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced creative environment
- Good editing and design instincts, especially for thumbnail creation and short-form content
- Interested in film, TV, social media, creator content, and digital entertainment
- Familiarity with automotive, truck, car, or blue-collar entertainment content is a strong asset
- Eager to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility over time
Requirements
- Based in the Lower Mainland and able to commute to our Burnaby office
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Must be able to provide relevant work examples, a portfolio, or social media/content samples
