What You’ll Do
As an Event Flagger, you are the frontline guide ensuring safe and smooth transitions for thousands of excited fans. Your main duties will include:
- Directing Traffic: Safely guiding vehicular traffic before, during, and after major events.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with a tight-knit team of flaggers and security personnel to manage busy intersections and parking areas.
- Indoor & Outdoor Shifts: Adapting to changing environments—you will spend time working both indoors (parking parkades/arenas) and outside in the elements.
- Public Interaction: Providing a welcoming and helpful presence to event-goers while maintaining strict safety boundaries.
What We Are Looking For
- Alert & Safety-Conscious: You have excellent situational awareness and prioritize safety above all else. Team Players: You thrive in a collaborative team environment and communicate clearly with others.
- Stamina & Resilience: Comfortable standing for extended periods and working outdoors in varying Edmonton weather conditions.
- Flexibility: Availability to work casual shifts, primarily on evenings and weekends when major events and hockey games are scheduled.
- Asset: Previous traffic control, flagging, or event security experience is a plus, but not required (training will be provided).
