Job Title: Field Service Representative (FSR) / Installer
Reporting to the Field Services & Training Manager, the Field Service Representative (FSR) / Installer is responsible for supporting the deployment, installation, integration, testing, and acceptance of military training and simulation systems at customer locations across Canada. Working closely with customers, Program Delivery & Support, Technical Services, and other stakeholders, the successful candidate will help ensure systems are delivered and transitioned into service in accordance with contractual and operational requirements. This position requires extensive travel throughout Canada and is ideally suited for a hands-on technical professional who thrives in dynamic field environments and enjoys working directly with customers.
Core Responsibilities
System Installation & Deployment
· Perform system installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities at customer locations across Canada.
· Support fielding, deployment, relocation, and technology refresh initiatives in accordance with project schedules and technical requirements.
· Conduct site readiness assessments and assist with installation planning, equipment staging, and deployment preparation activities.
· Verify system functionality and performance, ensuring systems are operational and ready for customer acceptance.
Technical Support & Customer Engagement
· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
· Act as the primary on-site representative for InVeris, maintaining professional relationships with customers and stakeholders.
· Collaborate with customers, Program Delivery & Support teams, Technical Services, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support successful deployment activities.
· Deliver operator orientation, technical guidance, and product familiarization training as required.
· Communicate site status, installation progress, issues, and risks to project and operational leadership.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain accurate installation records, inspection reports, deployment documentation, and acceptance records in accordance with contractual requirements.
· Complete and submit all required project documentation, including Certificates of Conformity (CoC), service reports, expense reports, action items, and deployment close-out activities in a timely manner.
· Support inventory accountability, material tracking, and equipment control activities during deployments.
Safety & Compliance
· Perform all activities in accordance with company safety procedures, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
· Maintain compliance with customer site access, security, and operational requirements.
· Promote safe work practices and professional conduct while representing InVeris at customer locations
Job Specifications:
·College diploma, certification, or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
·Minimum 3–5 years of experience in field service, installation, maintenance, technical support, or a related technical environment.
·Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and integrated system issues.
·Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, specifications, and installation drawings.
·Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking or service management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Monday.com, SharePoint, or equivalent).
· Strong customer service, communication, technical reporting, and problem-solving skills.
·Ability to work independently and travel extensively throughout Canada (up to 90%) in support of customer operations.
· Familiarity with pneumatic systems, mechanical assemblies, and field installation activities is considered an asset.
·Ability to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and meet Controlled Goods Program (CGP) requirements.
·Previous military, defence, simulation, or field deployment experience is considered an asset.
Pay: $30.00-$32.20 per hour
