Job Summary
We are seeking hardworking, reliable, Cutting and Packaging Room employees. Enjoyment of hands-on general labour in a fast-paced working environment is mandatory. Based upon production demands, performing repetitive tasks for an entire shift or rotating through different duties will be involved. Willingness to work overtime during the workweek and during the morning/early afternoon on Saturdays is required.
Responsibilities
- Cutting, shredding, and packaging cheese following detailed supervisor-provided instructions
- Labeling cheese when warranted by production demands
- Operating manual equipment safely and proficiently
- Collaborating with team members to meet daily production goals
- Inspecting finished work to ensure accuracy and attainment of quality expectations
- Maintaining a clean and orderly working environment
- Abiding by company sanitation, safety, and food handling policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, work in a cooler (at 4 degrees C/39.2 F) for limited time periods, and lift up to 20kg/44 lbs is required
- Repetitive wrist motions are necessary at times
- Accurately following instructions and Paying attention to detail are essential
Qualified candidates are required to stop by Springbank Cheese Company Ltd. in person to fill out an application form, provide a resume & references, and complete a basic math and English testing.
Pay: $17.60 per hour
