Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our hospitality team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management background, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food service, restaurant management, or hotel operations is highly valued, along with proficiency in POS systems such as Micros POS. A background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling will be advantageous to effectively coordinate front-of-house activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
- Supervise and train staff members, including interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Oversee food service activities, ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Micros POS
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Lead team management efforts, fostering a positive work environment and strong team collaboration
- Monitor customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest experience
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area in accordance with health standards
- Assist in hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations of team members
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of food industry operations including food preparation, cooking, serving, and food safety practices
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Proficiency in POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures
- Leadership qualities with supervising experience and team management skills
- Ability to oversee food handling processes and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Experience in interviewing candidates and managing staff schedules
- Knowledge of restaurant or hotel operations, including hospitality best practices
- Effective communication skills to coordinate between kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Background in food service, restaurant experience, or barista experience is a plus for understanding diverse aspects of the food industry
