Overview
We are seeking a new Sandblasting & Painting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of construction or equipment maintenance and possess strong communication skills. Experience in sandblasting not necessary.
This job does require ability to lift heavy tool and other items. Even with limited to no experience, if you are eager to learn how to sandblast and paint some equipment we will teach you!
We are located in Murillo, ON. There is no public transit in our area, so having a reliable way to work is required.
Applicants with valid driver licenses preferred, and starting wage is $20/hour but depending on your experience that can increase.
Responsibilities
- Utilize sandblasting equipment to clean, smooth, or shape surfaces of architectural structures, automotive parts, or other materials
- Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, rust, dirt, or grease
- Operate and maintain sandblasting and painting machinery and equipment
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure and safe work environment
- Assist painter with preparing and painting equipment
- Assist with clean up
- Work in collaboration with the team to complete projects efficiently
Preferred Skills
- Experience in equipment or vehicle maintenance
- ability to work with power tools and other equipment
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and clients
