Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service. Candidates with experience in the oilfield, heavy equipment operation, commercial driving, automotive repair, freight handling, or forklift operation are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made. (ELD)
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in the maintenance of vehicles by performing basic automotive repairs as needed.
- Guide loaders/forklifts when loading or unloading equipment/material.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving or heavy equipment operation preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends if required.
- Valid H2S/TDG/Whimis/First-aid/CSO
