We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Associate to join our team in Conception Bay South.
Position Overview:
The Mortgage Associate will play a key role in supporting the mortgage process from start to finish — handling document fulfillment, mortgage underwriting, and maintaining client relationships. The successful candidate will work closely with other Team Deanne Whelan Mortgage Associates and the operations team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process mortgage applications and supporting documents
- Assist with document fulfillment and file completion
- Fulfill the underwriting process by preparing documentation and verifying client information
- Communicate with clients to collect outstanding information or clarify details
- Follow up with existing clients to ensure continued satisfaction and support renewals
- Maintain organized, compliant, and accurate mortgage files
- Collaborate with lenders, lawyers, and insurers as needed
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business or finance or equivalent work experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management software
- Previous experience in the mortgage, banking, or financial services industry is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- On-site position based in Conception Bay South, NL
