We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager / Retail Flooring Sales Consultant to join our growing team.
About the Role
This position combines retail flooring sales with project management. You’ll work directly with homeowners, designers, restoration companies, and contractors to help customers select the right products while ensuring projects are coordinated from initial consultation through final installation.
The ideal candidate is organized, personable, confident in flooring products, and experienced managing multiple projects at once.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with flooring and tile selections in our showroom
- Prepare quotations and sales orders
- Measure, estimate, and recommend suitable flooring products
- Coordinate installations and communicate with installers
- Schedule projects and manage timelines
- Work closely with suppliers to order materials and resolve issues
- Communicate regularly with customers throughout their projects
- Coordinate with restoration companies, builders, designers, and contractors
- Resolve project concerns professionally and efficiently
- Ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard
- Build lasting relationships that generate repeat and referral business
Qualifications
Flooring industry experience is required.
Applicants should have:
- Minimum 3 years of flooring industry experience (retail sales, estimating, project management, installation, or a combination)
- Strong knowledge of hardwood, vinyl plank, laminate, carpet, tile, and installation methods
- Experience reading floor plans and preparing estimates
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with computers
- Valid driver’s licence
Preferred Experience
- Experience using flooring industry software (Pacific Solutions or similar)
- Design or renovation experience
- Existing relationships within the flooring or construction industry
