Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that support the overall operations of our facility. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. This position is indoors at a Plastic Manufacturing Facility in Innisfail, AB. The job requires employees to be physically fit and able to stand for four-hour periods. We offer on-the-job training and the opportunity to grow into leadership roles.
Duties
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in labour-intensive roles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to stand for 4 hour periods of time up to 10 hours in one shift.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to a manufacturing workplace.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on various responsibilities as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
