Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Café All Rounder to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting with food and beverage preparation, and ensuring smooth daily operations within our café environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages in accordance with established standards
- Operate POS systems for order processing and payment handling
- Manage cashier responsibilities, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen areas, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food safety procedures, proper food handling, and sanitation practices
- Ensure timely service during busy periods through effective time management
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; kitchen experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems for efficient order processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Good understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours
- Basic math skills for handling cash, making change, and processing orders
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Part time to Full time position dependant on how busy it is. Minimum of 16 hrs per week.
- Must have your Food safe certificate or able to get it.
- Must be able to work Saturdays seasonally (June-October)
This is not a seasonal position.
Pay: $18.25-$19.00 per hour
