Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated automotive service technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Perform maintenance on vehicles including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Service heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Operate industrial equipment safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting and heavy equipment operation
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshooting on various vehicle systems
- Use welding and mechanical skills for repairs and assembly tasks
- Follow safety protocols related to HVAC systems, electrical work, and heavy machinery
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs
- Assist in the inspection of vehicles for safety compliance and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or service technician; dealership experience is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, heavy equipment operation, industrial equipment, and farm machinery
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience working with HVAC systems or electrical components is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various machinery types including excavators, cranes, forklifts, etc.
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment in a fast-paced setting
- Relevant certifications or licences related to automotive or industrial equipment operation are advantageous
