Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems in commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction experience, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Maintain, diagnose, installation of boilers, water heaters, furnaces and on demand systems
- Install and service gas lines safely following all applicable codes and regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete tasks efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing and HVAC systems as needed
- Troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, gasfitting, HVAC, and mechanical systems to identify root causes
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper assembly of components during new installations or renovations
- Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Document work performed accurately for project records and compliance purposes
Skills
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber or Gasfitter with valid certification/license
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in plumbing, gas fitting, HVAC systems, and maintenance procedures
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various work environments
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical data
- Construction experience with familiarity in carpentry or related trades is a plus
- Knowledge of safety standards related to plumbing, gasfitting, HVAC systems, and construction sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for troubleshooting complex issues

- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Red Seal Plumber
- Red Seal Gasfitter B
- Red Seal Gasfitter A (considered an Asset)
- CSTS, Fall Arrest, First Aid (considered Asset )
