O.J. Industrial Maintenance
O.J. Industrial Maintenance specializes in the construction, installation, repair and maintenance of siphons, tailings lines, slurry lines and all light civil work for the oil industry. In addition to our design and construction capabilities and our involvement in various heavy oil recovery projects, OJIM’s professional research center leads the industry with cutting edge developments, such as new welding technologies. We focus on building strong relationships and providing customer satisfaction, while helping our clients meet their environment obligations.
Civil Foreman
Organize the job site and crew to carry out the project plan
Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies with regard to health and safety, the environment
Read blueprints and specifications to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures and methodology
Confer with the Superintendent in order to resolve problems and to coordinate activities.
Attend site meetings when required
Directly supervise all phases of the project and ensure quality control testing is completed and accurate
Key Responsibilities:
Able to run crew up to 10 (Laborers, Operators)
Ability to direct crews and equipment (Excavators, Grader, Dozer, Loaders, Rock Trucks)
Take direction from superintendents and General Foreman
Safety
Lead meetings, tool box talks, FLHA.
Report near miss, infractions and observations.
Communicate to promote a safe working environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic Safety Orientation (BSO) or OSSA Regional (ROP) or Enforme Common Safety (required)
Intermediate Wildlife Awareness with Bear Spray (asset)
Equipment operation knowledge and experience.
Knowledge of general duties.
Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and able to quickly ascend or descend a vertical ladder.
Drivers License (Class 5)
