Position Summary
We are currently seeking a reliable and flexible On-Call Cook to support our food service operations. This position is ideal for someone who is available to step in when our regular cook is unavailable. Full training will be provided on site by our current cook.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals according to established menus and guidelines
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Accommodate dietary needs and special requirements as directed
- Work collaboratively with staff to ensure timely meal service
Schedule
- On-call shifts become available when the regular cook is unable to work
- Shift hours are 6:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Qualifications & Requirements
Successful candidates must have or be willing to obtain the following:
- Valid Food Handler’s Certificate
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Two-step TB test
- Current CPR certification
- Proof of all required immunizations
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Reliable and punctual with a flexible schedule
Training
- Hands-on training will be provided by our current cook to ensure familiarity with menus, procedures, and expectations.
