Vedder Valley Homeworks is a locally owned home renovation and handyman company serving Chilliwack and the surrounding Fraser Valley. We specialize in residential repairs, renovations, and custom carpentry, earning a reputation for quality workmanship, honest service, and an outstanding customer experience. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled and dependable Carpenter to become an important part of our team. We're looking for someone who wants more than just a job. Position Summary
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys a variety of work and takes pride in producing high-quality results. You'll work on residential repair, renovation, and improvement projects, helping homeowners bring their projects to life.
Responsibilities
- General carpentry and residential repairs
- Deck and fence construction
- Door, trim, and finish carpentry
- Flooring installation
- Drywall repair and finishing
- Interior and exterior painting
- Bathroom and kitchen renovations
- General handyman services
- Maintaining a clean and organized worksite
- Communicating professionally with homeowners
Qualifications
Required:
- Residential construction, carpentry, or renovation experience
- Strong knowledge of residential construction practices
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Able to provide clean criminal record check prior to employment.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Assets:
- Experience in multiple trades
- Reliable personal vehicle required for daily work-related travel.
- Own basic hand tools
- Experience reading plans and drawings
- First Aid certification
