Cemetery Maintenance Worker
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and respectful individual to join our team as a Cemetery Maintenance Worker. This position is responsible for the care and upkeep of cemetery grounds, ensuring a safe, tidy, and respectful environment for families and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, raking, weeding, and watering
- Prepare gravesites and assist with burials (as required)
- Operate and maintain equipment (mowers, trimmers, small tractors, etc.)
- Keep walkways and public areas clean and safe
- Perform minor repairs and report hazards or damage
- Work respectfully and sensitively in an environment serving grieving families
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
- Experience in grounds or facility maintenance preferred
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- WHMIS, First Aid, or other relevant certifications an asset
- Valid driver’s license an asset
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
