Job Summary (Nature of Work):
The Tool Crib Coordinator is a key player in our production efficiency, safety, and quality control. In this role, you will manage the daily issuance, tracking, and organization of tools, dies, and manufacturing equipment, ensuring our team has the tools they need. You will prepare for set-ups, observe processes, recommend new tools for process improvement, and track tooling initiatives on the shop floor.

Main Duties:
- Issue tools, dies and equipment to workers.
- Maintain accurate Tool Crib inventory including issuing and return of tools
- Maintain tools, dies and other equipment stored in the tool crib.
- Prepare tooling for set-ups, inspect tooling and components after use.
- Coordinate tooling repairs with vendors and Shipping Department.
- Conduct Tool Crib inventory audits and report findings as required.
- Analyze Matrix usage reports for high or abnormal consumption.
- Setup and maintain drill fixture database.
- Receive Tool Crib inventory in accordance with established procedures.
- Coordinate tooling initiatives with vendors, Supervisors, and operators
- Facilitate continuous improvement by observing processes and recommend improved tooling options.
- Ensure the safety and security of the Tool Crib at all times.
- Other duties shall be assigned as required.
Employment requirements:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- 2-5 years' experience working with CNC tooling is required.
- Familiar with inventory control processes and procedures.
- Proven experience with and maintenance of tools, dies and other equipment.
- Organization and record keeping skills required.
- Computer skills, including basic knowledge of Word and Excel, and previous experience with Databases would be an asset.
