SP Pump & Tanks Ltd. is one of Vancouver Island's fastest-growing septic, sewer pump, and wastewater service companies. We provide residential, commercial, and municipal services including septic maintenance, sewer pump repairs, drain jetting, mini-excavation, inspections, and emergency response.
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting various construction, manufacturing, or maintenance projects by performing manual tasks that contribute to the overall success of our operations. The ideal candidate is physically fit, reliable, and eager to learn new skills in a dynamic work environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience and develop their work ethic in a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
- Perform general site cleanup and maintain a safe work environment
- Support skilled tradespeople by carrying supplies and preparing work areas
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery as needed (training provided)
- Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents immediately
- Help with site organization, including stacking materials and disposing of waste
- Support various tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving heavy objects under supervision
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures
- Basic understanding of construction or manufacturing environments is a plus but not required
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors
- Prior experience in manual labour roles is advantageous but not mandatory
