Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Child Care Director to lead our dedicated team at our daycare in Canada. This role is vital in maintaining our high standards of care and education, ensuring a positive experience for children and their families.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the daycare to ensure compliance with licensing standards.
- Lead and support staff to deliver high-quality early childhood education.
- Develop and implement educational programs that promote physical activity, creativity, and discovery.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff.
- Collaborate with parents to support children's developmental needs.
- Manage administrative tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Ensure staff are trained in best practices for caregiving and inclusive education.
- Foster a team culture that values kindness, respect, and teamwork.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in classroom management within early childhood settings.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Certification or license as a Child Care Director or equivalent.
- Ability to develop engaging educational activities.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all children.
- Prior experience managing staff in a childcare setting.
