Join Lakewood Chevrolet Bodyshop in their brand new state of the art facility! We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Bodyshop Manager to lead our automotive repair facility. We are growing in both size and demand, expanding our team, and looking to add an additional candidate to our team! The ideal body shop manager will oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality service, and foster a positive customer experience. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive automotive knowledge, and a commitment to excellence in bodyshop management.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the bodyshop, including workflow, staff scheduling, and quality control
- Coordinate with body shop, service, and support staff to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Oversee vehicle repair processes, ensuring adherence to safety standards and industry best practices
- Handle customer interactions, providing updates on repair status and addressing concerns professionally
- Upsell additional services or repairs when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and shop revenue
- Maintain inventory levels for parts and supplies necessary for efficient shop operation
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Develop and implement strategies to improve shop productivity and customer service quality
Skills
- Proven 3 or more years of auto body / body shop experience or extensive automotive repair background is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand repair processes and communicate effectively with staff and customers as needed
- Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients and address their needs effectively
- Sales acumen with the ability to upsell services while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Effective leadership abilities to motivate staff, manage conflicts, and foster a collaborative team environment
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
