Job Title: Pipelayer/Gradesman
Location: Courtenay, BC

We are currently seeking an experienced Pipelayer/Gradesman with expertise in civil construction and pipelaying to join our team in Courtenay, BC. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in the construction of water and sewer lines, storm drainage systems and roadworks.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to establish and mark the grade level of excavation, backfill and other construction work
- Conduct and record surveys to ensure that the work is completed to the required specifications and tolerances
- Use various survey instruments such as levels and GPS to measure and layout the construction site
- Provide guidance to equipment operators and labourers on the required depth and slope of trenches and other excavations
- Installation of sewer, water and storm lines
- HDPE Fusing is an asset or training will be provided
- Ensure that all work is completed safely and to the required quality standards
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Pipelayer/Gradesman in civil infrastructure and pipelaying projects
- Knowledge of excavation and earthwork principles and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours as required
